Skill Development Partners Onboarding Policy TIH IIT Patna or Vishlesan I-Hub Foundation  No Operational and Capital Expenses (NOCE) Model

Background

TIH IIT Patna was granted recognition as Deemed Awarding Body-Dual by NCVET for a period of 3 Years (WEF 13th Aug 2025). In this regard ed-tech partners and training partners are invited to submit their applications on a rolling basis. The current call shall stay valid until 28th October 2025.

TIH IIT Patna, through its mission to enhance India's technology innovation and workforce readiness, aims to significantly scale up the outreach of its training and skilling initiatives. To this end, TIH IIT Patna will collaborate with  training partners across India to deliver specialized skill development programs in areas of national and industrial relevance. This policy outlines the criteria, processes, responsibilities, and financial model for onboarding and engaging Skill Development Partners (SDPs).

Scope of Engagement
Skill Development Partners will be authorized to offer training programs under the aegis of TIH IIT Patna in the following domains (not limited to):

1. Cybersecurity and related fields

2. Data Science and related fields

3. Internet of Things (IoT) and related fields

4. Embedded Systems and related fields

5. Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA)

6. AI- Machine Learning and related fields

7. Home Appliances Technician

8. Solar Technician.

No Operational and Capital Expenses shall be extended to the training partners.

​

Training may be conducted:

• In-person at the partner's facility

• Online through virtual platforms

• In hybrid mode (combination of the above)

 

Fee Structure

• The training fee shall be collected from the candidates enrolling in the skill development programs.

• The fee structure for each course may vary depending on duration, mode (online/offline), trainer involvement, and course complexity.

• Training Partners are responsible for managing admissions and fee collection in alignment with guidelines jointly agreed upon with TIH IIT Patna.

Eligibility Criteria for Training Partners

Partners must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in delivering high-quality technical or vocational training

• Adequate infrastructure to conduct in-person and/or virtual training

• Qualified faculty or willingness to arrange certified trainers

• Transparency in operations and reporting

• Willingness to undergo compliance and quality audits by TIH IIT Patna

• MoU with placement partner network

Roles and Responsibilities

​

Training Partner Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct courses in alignment with TIH-approved curriculum or guidelines

• Handle admissions, fee collection, batch formation, training logistics, and learner support

• Remunerate trainers if sourced from TIH IIT Patna

• Establish a Placement network

• Maintain data and reports of participant progress and placement

• Ensure branding, quality, and ethical standards as per TIH expectations

TIH IIT Patna Responsibilities:

• Authorize training programs and quality benchmarks

• Facilitate access to certified trainers upon request

• Scout and establish a placement support network for trained candidates

• Issue co-branded certificates to successful participants

Advertisement & Marketing Ethics

All partners are expected to maintain advertisement and marketing ethics, no partner can use the following information on their marketing and advertisements:

• 100% Placement promises or tag lines that may mislead the candidates into believing that they will receive guaranteed placement.

• Skill Development courses should not be advertised as degree or diploma from IIT Patna or Vishlesan I-Hub Foundation or its  associated entities.

• Under no circumstances training partners can advertise salary packages to prospective candidates.

• Under no circumstances the training partner can advertise under "IIT Patna" brand or logo.

• Only  the logo or IIT Patna Vishlesan i-Hub foundation can be used. 

 

Standard policies of revenue sharing shall be applicable depending on the support extended by TIH IIT Patna
